APEX (African American Panoramic Experience) Museum. Exhibits presenting accomplishments and history from an African-American point of view. Closed Mondays, 10 am-5pm Tuesday-Saturday, 1-5pm Sunday. The Art Barn. Meet, hold and pet a variety of farm animals, create art projects, take hayrides and more at this private party center. Atlanta Botanical Garden. Atlanta's garden jewel features a children's garden, conservatory, woodlands and outdoor artworks. Atlanta History Center. Located on 33 acres in the Buckhead area, AHC features features one of the Southeast's largest history museums, including the Margaret Mitchell House. Autrey Mill Nature Preserve. Nature preserve featuring 46 acres of woodlands, ravines, walking trails and a creek. A heritage village features four buildings dating to the mid-1800s. The visitor's center features animal and bird exhibits. Open 8am-dusk daily, visitor's center 10am-4pm Monday-Saturday. Admission: free.

Bartow History Center. Hands-on exhibits of life in Northwest Georgia through the 1950s. Includes a museum, archieves and gift shop. Open 10am-5pm Monday-Wednesday and Friday-Saturday, 10am-8pm Thursday, closed Sunday.

The Beach at Clayton County International Park. Originally built to hold Beach volleyball events for the 1996 Olympics, this park features a swimming lake with waterslides, fishing, beach volleyball courts, hiking trails, tennis courts and picnic areas. Big Boot Ranch. 15 acre ranch in Henry County features private western themed parties and field trips. Field trips include hayrides, petting farm, fishing, moon walks, playground and horse/pony rides. Meals from the chuck wagon are additional. Summercamps and over-night camping are also offered. Booth Western Art Museum. 80,000 square foot museum featuring Western American art, a presidential gallery, Civil war gallery, and sagebrush Ranch, an interactive gallery for children. The museum also hosts authentic native American powwows and cowboy gatherings several times a year. Bulloch Hall. Built in 1839, this historic house was the home of Mittie Bulloch, the mother of our 26th President, Theodore Roosevelt.
